Registrar of Companies Announcement for the extension of the Annual Levy Payment

The Department of Registrar of Companies in Cyprus announced on the 27th of December 2021 that, based on the decree published by the Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry on the 21st of December 2021 which is in accordance to Section 391(5)(b) of Cyprus Companies Law (Cap.113), the deadline for payment of the Annual Levy by registered companies for the year 2021, is extended to 31 March 2022, with no additional charge.

Payments of the Annual Levy for the years 2018 and onwards will be affected either through the JCC website or at the Department's cashier registry.

Payments for the previous years between 2012 and 2017 inclusive, will be made either at the Department's cashier office or through the after first connecting to the Government Portal "Ariadne".

Note that the penalties for failing to pay the annual levy, remain as below:

• for payment within two (2) months from the 30th of June (i.e. up until 31st August), the charge imposed equals to an additional ten percent (10%) on the original fee, thus making the total amount to be paid three hundred and eighty-five euros (€385);

• for payment within five (5) months from the 30th June (i.e. up until 30th November), the charge imposed equals to an additional thirty percent (30%) on the original fee, thus making the total amount to be paid four hundred and ninety euros (€490).
